With over 20 years in private practice, this Consultancy uses their significant experience to provide solutions which enhance the end product and add to the ultimate success of the project.

Job Description:

This Consultancy has an immediate requirement for a Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience. .

You will have experience of working on a variety of projects such as, Education, Retail, Healthcare and Residential.

You will be responsible for running projects with little guidance, liaising with Technicians making sure detailed drawings are precise.

You will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate service/design decisions are met.

You will be responsible for ensuring senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.

Person Specification:

You should possess a broad range of engineering skills and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of current codes of practice both British Standards and Euro-codes working in all the main construction materials.

You will be a proficient user of AutoCAD which is essential, REVIT modelling software is also desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

This position requires confident communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

A pool car is provided when visiting sites, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
