Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

The Opportunity:
An established and respected civil and structural engineering consultancy is expanding with a brand-new team based in Bristol. This exciting development offers a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join from the ground up, with plenty of mentorship and career growth in a supportive, technically driven environment.

The company has a strong and secure order book, delivering high-quality bridge, transport, and infrastructure projects across the UK. This new team will be at the forefront of these efforts, giving you the chance to grow alongside experienced engineers and take on meaningful responsibility early on.

The Role:
You will be in Bristol, working primarily on bridge design and related civil structures, including both new build and refurbishment projects. The role also offers exposure to transport structures, buildings, and temporary works within the wider portfolio.

Working closely with senior staff, you’ll be involved in all stages of design, from calculations and drawings to site inspections and client liaison.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural designs and calculations for bridges and civil infrastructure
• Support site inspections, assessments, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with UK design standards
• Engage in technical reviews and contribute ideas within the new team
• Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and colleagues

About You:

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Around 5 years’ experience, or 3 years UK-based experience
• Bridge design experience preferred, but transport structures, buildings, or temporary works backgrounds will also be considered
• Competent in structural analysis software and familiar with UK design codes
• Motivated to learn and grow in a new team environment
• Comfortable being site-based full-time in Bristol
