Job summary

Brandon James Ltd is recruiting a Structural or Civil Engineer to join our Manchester team. The role spans site inspections, calculations, and reports across varied residential and commercial projects, with a focus on delivering robust engineering solutions.

The successful candidate will engage with clients and consultants, ensuring designs meet UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes while developing technical expertise and professional growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Membership of ICE or IStructE is advantageous and Chartered status is desirable.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel to sites are important.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out structural inspections and site surveys.
• Preparing structural calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Assessing building defects and recommending remedial solutions.
• Producing and reviewing structural designs.
• Supporting projects from initial investigation through to completion.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, architects and other consultants.
• Ensuring work complies with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes.
