Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London invites applications for a Clinical Fellow in Structural Cardiology based at Hammersmith Hospital. This full-time, one-year Trust Grade fellowship starts January 2027 and covers inpatient, outpatient and catheter laboratory work alongside clinical research opportunities.

Ideal for doctors in final specialist year or post-CCT fellows pursuing structural cardiology, with prior structural experience expected.

Qualifications

• Final year of specialist training or post-CCT fellow wishing to pursue a career in structural cardiology.
• Previous structural cardiology experience expected.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily ward rounds for TAVI inpatients and care for patients requiring structural heart therapies.
• Undertake interventional catheter laboratory work, outpatient clinics and ward referrals.
• Work with the TAVI nurses to manage the structural waiting list and with consultant MDT leads to prepare structural multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collate and present morbidity and mortality data, contribute to the NICOR database, and attend audit and departmental clinical meetings.
• Participate in clinical research within the department.
• Contribute up to one day per week to the daytime general cardiology SpR rota; timetable reflects departmental needs and clinical experience.
