Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced structural analyst to perform FE calculations and seismic assessments for RC structures. The role involves ANSYS APDL modelling, soil–structure interaction, and producing construction documentation.

You will also review documents, draft notes, and perform on-site checks, with a preference for 3–5 years of civil experience and proficiency in major analysis tools. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in civil work and structural analysis.
• Strong understanding of seismic, impacts and blast effects.
• Proficient with structural analysis software such as ANSYS, SAP2000, Robot.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations and finite element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar tools.
• Conduct soil–structure interaction and seismic analyses.
• Model using ANSYS APDL.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction docs for RC structures.
• Carry out advanced RC structure analyses.
• Draft calculation notes and review technical documents.
• On-site reinforced concrete checks.

Job description

Your role

• Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar advanced software and tools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as Eurocode and ETC-C,
• Soil–structure interaction analysis and seismic calculations,
• Modelling using ANSYS APDL,
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for the reinforced concrete structures,
• Experience carrying out advanced analysis on RC structures,
• Drafting calculation notes,
• Reviewing technical documents,
• On-site reinforced concrete checks.

Your profile

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Civil Work
• Strong understanding of seismic, impacts, blast, and others
• Proficiency in using structural analysis software, Finite Element such as ANSYS, SAP2000, Robot or similar tools
• Experience in 3D BIM modelling such as TEKLA, Navisworks will be an advantage
