Structural CAD Technician and RC Detailer, Cardiff

We are seeking an experienced Structural Technician with RC detailing expertise to join an established consultancy in Cardiff on a permanent basis. You will be part of a vibrant design team. Senior candidates are also encouraged to apply.

This practice boasts an excellent local reputation with low staff turnover. Most clients are repeat business, with projects up to £30m in value. The ideal candidate will be personable, communicative, and humorous, as building strong relationships is key.

Responsibilities include:

1. Detailing reinforced concrete components for various building sectors, including basement structures and concrete frames.
2. Collaborating with design engineers.
3. Completing work within specified timescales, budgets, and programmes.
4. Working independently with motivation.
5. Communicating effectively and understanding the design process.
6. Detailing elements such as columns, slabs, and foundations.

Candidate requirements:

1. Preferably ONC, HNC, or equivalent in Building Structures or Civil Engineering.
2. At least 2 years of UK building structure project experience.
3. Proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD and Revit.

Revit or AutoCAD experience alone will be considered.
