Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist on a nine-month fixed-term contract ending 1 August 2027. The post is within the stroke team spanning the Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Rehabilitation Ward.

The role requires RCSLT and HCPC registration (or pending for final-year students) and involves weekends as part of a rotational service alongside a multidisciplinary team. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• RCSLT and HCPC registration, or pending for final-year students
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with adults with special needs (e.g. learning disabilities or Deaf patients)
• Knowledge of SLT delivery across contexts and national policies

Responsibilities

• Work across the stroke pathway in the Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Rehabilitation Ward
• Weekend rotations as part of a rotational service
