An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research and Innovation Team and Stroke Team as a Stroke Research Sister / Charge Nurse.
This position will be based in the Stroke department to facilitate early identification of patients for research studies.
You will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats colleagues, patients, and service users with respect, aiming to deliver excellence in your role.
This role involves working within a multidisciplinary research team to manage and coordinate stroke clinical research studies. The goal is to increase recruitment into stroke research studies, supporting the strategic development of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Your responsibilities include recruiting patients into stroke clinical studies, providing support and education during the studies, and accurately collecting and documenting data.
You will also coordinate the setup of new studies with the R&I department, including those adopted onto the NIHR portfolio and commercially sponsored studies. Ensuring compliance with regulations such as ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines will be a key aspect of your role.
