Role Overview

The Program Manager - Stroke Coordination is responsible for overseeing and managing the Stroke Program. This includes clinical treatment protocols, performance improvement, and facilitating interaction between Maine Medical Center and external programs. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary care related to acute stroke treatment and promoting research within the clinical setting.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program with a Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and modified Rankin Scale (mRS) required or willingness to pursue.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in diagnostic evaluation and treatment of stroke and vascular diseases required. Five years of experience leading a clinical program or multidisciplinary team preferred.
