Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a middle grade doctor to work in stroke medicine, with involvement in ward rounds on the stroke unit, acute thrombolysis sessions and TIA clinic support.

The post offers full-time hours (40 per week) with flexibility for part-time arrangements by negotiation, and optional on-call commitments after discussion with the Clinical Director. There is scope to work across Acute Medicine/General Medicine alongside Stroke.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute stroke care and thrombolysis sessions.
• Ability to support ward rounds and integrate with the stroke team.
• Flexibility for rota arrangements and cross-coverage when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support ward rounds on the stroke unit.
• Assist acute thrombolysis sessions and TIA clinics.
• Participate in the on-call rota as discussed with the Clinical Director.
• Support Hyper Acute Stroke, Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation wards.
