Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two enthusiastic Stroke Consultants to deliver compassionate care across a 48-bed stroke unit and to develop their own areas of specialist interest.

As a core member of the West Yorkshire Associate of Acute Trusts (WYAAT), you will collaborate with the tertiary service team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, work with the Clinical Director and General Manager to drive innovative models of care, and contribute to teaching and clinical

Qualifications

• Evidence of senior clinical experience in stroke services.
• Willingness to engage in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

• Assess acute stroke patients on the hot phone for thrombolysis suitability.
• Conduct TIA clinics for stroke prevention.
• Oversee HASU/ASU ward rounds and rehabilitation of stroke patients.
• Lead follow-up clinics for discharged patients.
• Contribute to developing local and regional stroke services and participate in audit and teaching.
