Apex Resource Management are seeking a skilled Strip Fitter to join their specialist automotive team near Daventry. The role focuses on stripping vehicles and components for restoration or refurbishment, with a hands-on, practical approach.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with potential overtime. Prior experience in vehicle restoration or related mechanical roles is valued, and the environment emphasizes safety and organisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive or mechanical experience.
• Background could include Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Vehicle Restoration Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Assembly Technician, Motorsport Technician or Bodyshop Technician.
• Strong mechanical skills, good attention to detail, and genuine interest in automotive work.

Responsibilities

• Stripping and dismantling vehicles and individual components
• Removing mechanical, electrical and structural parts carefully and methodically
• Working with engines, drivetrains, suspension, body components and other vehicle assemblies
• Inspecting parts for damage, wear and general condition
• Identifying components suitable for reuse, repair or replacement
• Cleaning and preparing components for refurbishment
• Operating parts-cleaning and shot-blasting equipment
• Labelling and organising removed parts
• Accurately recording components using the inventory system
• Working closely with technicians and restoration specialists
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Looking after tools and workshop equipment

Strip Fitter - Daventry | Up to £35,000 per annum | Days | Monday to Friday | Contract to Permanent

Are you a Strip Fitter, Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Automotive Technician looking for a hands-on role where you can put your mechanical skills to good use?

We're looking for a skilled Strip Fitter to join a specialist automotive team near Daventry, working on high-quality vehicle restoration projects.

You'll be responsible for carefully stripping vehicles and components, assessing parts and preparing them for restoration, refurbishment or reuse. If you enjoy working hands-on with vehicles, taking things apart and understanding how everything fits together, this could be a fantastic opportunity.

What will you be doing?

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Friday: 7:00am - 12:45pm

There are also opportunities for additional weekday and Saturday overtime.
