Job summary
Safran Seats in Cwmbran, Wales, is seeking a Stress Engineer to join the on-site team with hybrid flexibility (3 days on site). You will work in the Stress Engineering group, performing hand calculations and FEA to size and simulate seating structures for First and Business Class aircraft interiors.
Essentials include experience with FEA solvers such as Radioss, HyperMesh, Nastran, and practice of dynamic/multi-body analysis; you will collaborate with design and validation teams to certify
Qualifications
- Engineering background with hands-on ability to perform calculations and verify concepts.
- FEA experience including linear and nonlinear analysis for aerospace structures.
- Experience with high-performance steels, aluminum or composite materials.
Responsibilities
- Perform hand calculations and develop/validate FEA models for design iterations.
- Develop structural concepts and certify products for safety and performance.
- Collaborate with design, analysis and qualification teams to meet aerospace standards.
