Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking a Streetworks & Utilities Co-Ordinator in Peterborough. This full-time/permanent role focuses on coordinating highway works, utility permits, and stakeholder communication to support the IOS framework.

You will work with the RUST team to ensure compliance with permits and regulations, while supporting the delivery of IOS projects across East Anglia. Closing date: 9 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the latest Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and Permit Conditions COP.
• Ability to interpret legislation and provide guidance to colleagues within the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day highway works while ensuring safety of the travelling public and minimizing traffic congestion.
• Process utility search applications to avoid delays on planned works.
• Monitor road space availability and collaborate with other work promoters.
• Administer compliant notifications for uncharted utility services.
• Raise permits in line with DFT Permit Schemes Conditions and local authority requests.
• Monitor permits to avoid overruns, penalties, inspection defects and ensure permit conditions are met.
• Arrange Temporary Traffic Regulations Orders as needed with Local Authority.
• Liaise with Anglian Water, parish and county councils and the public to handle queries and updates.
