Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Streetworks & Utilities Co-Ordinator to join the IOS team in Peterborough. You will coordinate day-to-day highway works, process permit applications, and liaise with local authorities and the public to keep projects on track.

Your role focuses on compliance with street works regulations, safety, and efficient scheduling, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation relevant to latest New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and Permit Conditions COP.
• Ability to use initiative to interpret street works regulations to guide colleagues.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities on the public highway network to maintain safety and reduce congestion.
• Process and monitor street works permit applications and ensure on-time delivery.
• Liaise with Anglian Water, parish and county councils and the public to handle queries and updates.
• Administer notifications for uncharted services within the utility sector and ensure compliance with DFT Permit Schemes.
