Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Streetworks & Utilities Co-Ordinator to join the RUST team in the East Anglia region, based in Peterborough. The role focuses on managing highways activities, street works permits and related agreements while supporting delivery teams with utility information.

You will coordinate day-to-day on the public highway, process utility search applications, monitor permits and liaise with local authorities, the public and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of latest New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and COP permit conditions.
• Ability to interpret street works legislation and guide colleagues.
• Strong IT skills with Word and Excel.
• Experience with permit and utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating day-to-day on the public highway network, ensuring safety and reducing congestion.
• Co-ordinating utility search applications to avoid delays.
• Monitoring road space and collaborating with other work promoters.
• Administer compliant notifications for uncharted services.
• Raise permits in line with DFT schemes and local requests.
• Monitor permits under the NRSWA Act 1991 and HAUC COP to prevent overruns.
• Apply for Temporary Traffic Regulations Orders with Local Authority.
• Liaise with Anglian Water, Parish and County Council and stakeholders.
