Job summary

Project Partners in Falmer, East Sussex, seeks an experienced Streetworks Planner for a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Hybrid role with 45 hours weekly, training at the Apsley head office to start, then 3 days Falmer office and 2 days home. Salary up to £35k depending on experience.

The role supports delivering works to contract programs, achieving SLAs, and efficient planning within Utilities and Civil Engineering. Initial training is in Hemel Hempstead.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of street works and traffic management requirements.
• Experience with Street manager or Aurora system preferred.
• Previous planning experience in utilities/civil engineering is desirable.
• Environmental awareness and customer service mindset.
• Experience with gas/electric/line search and BT drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with teams, supervisors and operatives to provide accurate job details.
• Monitor backlogs and ensure contractual priorities are met.
• Plan and coordinate all jobs for efficiency.
• Create NRSWA permits and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
• Submit and track bus/parking suspensions and other notices.
• Submit and track switch-out requests and related tasks.
• Monitor permit updates and respond to PMR/S74s/AIVs/inspections.
• Promptly handle client requests and keep stakeholders updated.
• Monitor progress of gangs and update systems accordingly.
• Resolve planning queries or issues as they arise.
• Provide holiday/cover for planning colleagues when needed.
• Carry out other duties related to the role.
• Share information to support work planning and licensing requirements.
