Job description

Streetworks Inspector

We are seeking a Streetworks Inspector to oversee utility works on site and perform inspections afterwards. Responsibilities include reviewing signing, lighting, ensuring compliance with permit conditions, checking for overruns and reinstatement (category B or C), and dealing with fixed penalty notices and breaches of condition.

The role involves on-site supervision to ensure work is done correctly, traffic disruption is minimized, and maintaining good relationships with ground personnel. Inspections are initially organized from the office or home, followed by site visits and administrative tasks at the office.

There are no specific areas for inspectors; a list of inspections is provided, and inspectors select themselves for work. A valid NRSWA supervisor qualification is required.

We offer flexible rates for the right candidate:

• PAYE: £16.37 basic / £18.35 premium or £18.35 umbrella
• PAYE: £18.72 basic / £20.98 premium or £20.98 umbrella
