Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Streetworks Administrator to support the Planning team in programming works and managing notices and permits in the Street Manager system. You will respond to council comments, manage jeopardy notices, and liaise with local authorities and subcontractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

The role focuses on input accuracy, documentation, and driving continual improvements within the streetworks process while maintaining safety procedures in line with company

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within the Utilities sector Streetworks and knowledge of statutory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Start and stop notices in accordance with SLA and permits.
  • Maintain timely input and uploading of information into Street Manager; escalate issues.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and subcontractors to ensure programmes are delivered.
  • Validate and transmit notice/permit requests to support planning team.
  • Run and circulate daily jeopardy reports and monitor outstanding issues.
  • Provide general admin support and contribute innovative solutions.

Job description

Description As a Streetworks Administrator, you will support the Planning team. You will provide support to ensure that the company's work is effectively programmed by submitting start/stop notices/permits, responding to council comments and jeopardy managing notices/permits to minimise the risk of Streetworks non-compliance using the street manager system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Start and stop notices in accordance with SLA and permits
  • Understand the street works system and work to the processes accordingly
  • Maintain timely and accurate input and uploading of information into street manager ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated.
  • Understand responsibilities for s74/defects/FPNS in line with legislation and ensure evidence is collated in timely manner.
  • Be responsible for Streetworks performance and driving continual improvements with the Operational teams
  • Liaise with Supervisors and sub-contract teams to ensure programmes are delivered ensuring that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Validate and transmit notice/permit requests in a timely manner to support with planning team requests
  • Submit final registrations, identify street works issues and apply early intervention and elevate street works compliance issues where appropriate
  • Liaise with local authority's and client representatives
  • Coordinate with other 3rd parties e.g. Parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, road closures etc
  • Analyse and respond to Section 74 charges & fixed penalty offences
  • Run and circulate daily jeopardy reports as required
  • Monitor and chase any outstanding issues
  • Provide general admin support
  • Provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change
  • Ensure that safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Experience of working within the Utilities sector Streetworks and experience with, sound knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, Able to work in an organised manner to meet important deadlines
  • In depth understanding of the operational activity
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively under pressure
