Job summary

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council is hiring a Streetsweeper/Driver at Earlswood Depot in Redhill. The role is permanent, full-time, 36 hours per week across 5 days including weekends, 06:00–13:45. Salary £25,581.00 per year plus a 7% early start payment.

You will drive a 3.5 cwt truck, carry out cleansing duties across highways and public areas, litter-picking, graffiti removal and related tasks. A valid clean driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• A current clean driving license is essential for driving 3.5 cwt trucks and for driving a precinct mechanical sweeper, appropriate training will be required.

Responsibilities

• Driving ‘compact’ Sweeper (Subject to training and gaining appropriate licence)
• Undertake, working alone or as part of a team, the cleansing of highways and other areas.
• Litter-picking
• Manual Sweeping
• Driving 3.5 cwt Pickup Truck
• Utilise ‘Orderly Barrow’
• Litter Bin emptying
• Graffiti removal
• Collecting & Removing Fly-tipping
• Other General Cleansing Work
