Job summary

Matchtech is seeking Street Works Inspectors to join their team in London. This permanent role focuses on ensuring compliance with street works regulations and maintaining the highway network integrity.

You will inspect street works under NRSWA, conduct site visits, report non-compliance, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and keep detailed inspection records while providing technical guidance.

Qualifications

• NRSWA qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience in highway sector street works inspection preferred.
• Excellent observational and reporting skills essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspecting street works to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and other relevant legislation
• Conducting site visits to monitor the progress and standards of street works
• Identifying and reporting any non-compliance issues or defects
• Liaising with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections and findings
• Providing technical advice and support regarding street works regulations
• Ensuring the safety of the public and minimising disruption caused by street works

Job Requirements:

• Experience in street works inspection or a related field within the highways sector
• Qualified under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)
• Strong understanding of street works regulations and compliance requirements

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and documentation
