Job description

The Philharmonic is a Cardiff icon with an atmosphere as diverse as the crowds we serve. From lazy brunches to late-night parties, this isn't just a venue—it's a day-to-night experience on one of the city's liveliest streets. The Philharmonic is a go-to destination for foodies, sports enthusiasts, and night owls alike.

Are you a vibrant, friendly individual with excellent communication skills? The Philharmonic is looking for enthusiastic promoters to join our dynamic team to promote our club and events.

As a promoter at the Philly, you will play a vital role in engaging with customers. You will be located outside the venue, giving out flyers to all people around, offering deals on food and drinks throughout the week, and encouraging them to attend the events being promoted. Distribute marketing materials to individuals and groups around the town centre, ensuring maximum visibility and exposure for our events. Drive ticket sales by actively promoting and encouraging interested individuals to purchase tickets and attend our events.

What's the Role?

Pretty much what you’d expect from a buzzing venue like ours:

  • Friendly personality with the ability to engage with people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Major events, weekend, and evening availability is essential—this is when the magic happens!

Why Join Us?

  • Killer atmosphere, live gigs, and top-notch sports events
  • Training to ensure you're at the top of your game
  • Real progression opportunities—grow with us

Oh, and let’s not forget staff discounts (because who doesn’t love a bargain?)

Essential Information

  • Pay starts at £11.50 per hour for ages 18-20 (£12.00 if 21 years of age or older)
  • Part-time hours
  • Shifts across days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
