Job summary

Pave Recruit is seeking a Street Lighting Manager to oversee highway lighting projects in the Greater London area. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with regulations and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering background, street lighting management experience, and CSCS/SSSTS credentials, plus strong stakeholder communication and team leadership abilities to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Background in Street Lighting management preferred.
• Understanding of electrical installations for highways lighting desired.
• CSCS card holder and SSSTS holder.
• Strong communication skills to address stakeholder queries.
• Experience leading a project team from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of Street Lighting projects with detailed plans and budgets.
• Manage pre-construction and planning to meet supplier requirements and traffic management needs.
• Conduct site audits and daily diary records to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support commercial team and understand delivery of construction phase.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices.
• Ensure documentation is complete and crews are ready to work.
• Resolve site and construction issues and communicate changes to subcontractors.

Your new role

As Street Lighting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of the projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of Street Lighting projects and develop detailed project plans, budgets within the timeline.
• Managed pre-construction and planning to execute traffic management and meeting supplier requirements.
• Demonstrate regular inspections and ensure the work complies with relevant regulations by conducting site audits, daily diary records.
• Support the commercial team and understand the delivery of the construction phase.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices.
• Making sure all required documentation is included and that gangs are ready to get to work.
• Assist in resolving site and construction-related issues, communicating changes to subcontractors and other stakeholders.
