Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Street Cleansing Operative for an ongoing temporary contract in Brownhills, United Kingdom. The role pays £17.23 per hour, with weekly pay via umbrella, and a 37-hour week (Mon-Fri, 4 days per week with a rest day).

The successful candidate will carry out cleansing duties, remove waste, perform graffiti removal, and inspect play areas. Start date ASAP, duration 3 months with potential to extend.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification is required.
• Class 1 HGV licence is required.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points is required.
• Experience in street cleansing/environmental or grounds maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out street cleansing duties including litter picking and sweeping.
• Remove fly tipping and bulky waste from public areas.
• Complete graffiti removal and weed control.
• Undertake vegetation management to maintain public spaces.
• Carry out play area inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Operate mechanical sweeping equipment when needed.
• Assist with domestic waste and recycling collections when required.
• Work safely and deliver high standards of environmental services.

Pay: 17.23 per hour (Paid weekly via umbrella)

Hours: Up to 37 Hours (Monday to Friday, 4 days per week with 1 rest day)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months (with potential to extend)

Street Cleansing Operative

• Carry out street cleansing duties including litter picking and sweeping
• Remove fly tipping and bulky waste from public areas
• Complete graffiti removal and street weed control
• Undertake vegetation control to maintain public spaces
• Carry out play area inspections and report maintenance issues
• Operate mechanical sweeping equipment where required
• Support domestic waste and recycling collections when required
• Work safely and efficiently whilst delivering a high standard of environmental services

Requirements

• Must hold a valid CPC qualification
• Must hold a valid Class 1 HGV Licence
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points
• Must have experience within street cleansing, environmental or grounds maintenance services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
