About the role…

Our urgent treatment centres are designed to see, treat, and discharge or refer both walk-in and ambulatory patients whose injuries or illnesses are not severe enough to require full emergency department care.

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic Streaming Nurses to join our team at Watford UTC on a permanent basis (full-time & part-time). Applicants will work primarily in Streaming and play an integral role in clinical decision-making, ensuring that patients are assessed promptly and directed to the appropriate healthcare service.

Successful candidates must have experience in ED, UTC, or primary care and work within their professional boundaries. There is potential within this role to develop your skills and knowledge and become an ENP through our training programme after one year.

As a Streaming practitioner, you will collaborate with a wider team of ENPs, GPs, HCAs, ECPs, and operational staff to deliver unscheduled care to patients presenting with complex and/or chronic illnesses and injuries.

You will assess a wide range of patient presentations to determine the most appropriate clinician for their healthcare needs.

Qualifications, Experience & Training…
  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration OR Registered Paramedic with current HCPC registration
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience in UCC/WIC/MIU
  • Strong clinical leadership skills
  • 36 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) – pro rata for part-time roles

  • Death in Service
