Salary: GBP 38,500 - GBP 57,500 Depending on Experience

The Role:

We\'re looking for a Policy & Strategy Manager to join our supportive and collaborative Policy, Strategy & Economics team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Bank\'s strategy and policies to improve access to finance for smaller businesses across the UK. You\'ll be part of a team that:

  • Advises government on SME finance policy.
  • Leads the Bank\'s day-to-day relationship with government, including input into budgets and fiscal events.
  • Shapes our corporate strategy and planning processes.
  • Ensures our products and programmes are designed to meet the needs of small businesses.

This is a role where your insights, creativity, and problem-solving skills will directly influence how we support businesses to start, grow and thrive.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop evidence-based policy and product proposals to support SME access to finance.
  • Work closely with colleagues across economics, product teams, and external stakeholders including government officials.
  • Contribute to briefings for senior leaders, including the CEO and Chair.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders through clear, inclusive communication.
  • Support the delivery of our Banking Arm strategy, particularly through debt programmes and guarantees.
