Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates Ltd (SBA) is supporting a Central Government client by recruiting two Strategy, Policy and Engagement Advisors on an initial 6-month contract. Location options include London, Bristol or Manchester with 1 day per week on site.

The role requires shaping cross-government policies, translating business needs into clear recommendations, and managing senior stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality user outcomes. Active SC clearance is required.

SBA are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking x2 Strategy, Policy and Engagement Advisors on an initial 6 month contract.

Location: London, Bristol OR Manchester - (1 day p/w)

You will have:

• Experience to help shape and align cross‑government policies and strategies by investigating problems and translating business needs into clear recommendations of opportunities and solutions
• The ability to take accountability for work and emerging issues, identifying and addressing risks, adapting at pace in a fast‑moving environment, and supporting delivery of high‑quality user outcomes.
• The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, contributing to discussions, influencing where appropriate, and helping manage demand against shared priorities
• Experience to demonstrate inclusive and supportive leadership, contributing to the development of people and the continuous improvement of ways of working
• Recent experience within Central/Local Government

Desirable criteria:

• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including experience applying modelling, forecasting or scenario analysis techniques to evaluate options, assess impacts and support decision‑making in complex organisational, operational or digital environments.

NB: Active SC required for assignment
