We are seeking a visionary leader to head our Strategy Office focused on electric grid transformation. Reporting to the CTO, this role will drive our organization's strategic initiatives in grid digitalization, protection systems, asset monitoring, communication infrastructure, and the broader energy transition. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning processes, identifying emerging market trends, technological innovations, and business opportunities in close collaboration with Grid Automation leadership team
  • Oversee comprehensive market research and competitive analysis in collaboration with the region and product management teams and provide insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop industry ecosystem map to guide gap analysis and identify adjacencies and white spaces
  • Collaborate with innovation and product management team to identify new areas for growth, develop product/solutions roadmaps, and identify new M&A opportunities
  • Engage with startups and innovation hubs to identify M&A and partnership targets
  • Represent the organization in high-level industry forums, regulatory discussion, and strategic partnerships

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electric power engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electric utility or energy sector, with at least 5 years in leadership positions

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of complex multi-year initiatives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital technologies and their application to utility operations
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute on complex initiatives
  • Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electric power engineering
  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in utility environments
  • Background in grid modernization projects, smart grid deployments, or similar initiatives
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI/ML, edge computing for grid applications, cybersecurity

The base pay range for this position is 152,400.00-203,200.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This role is also eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus. This posting is expected to close on 4/14/25.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
