A day in the life

We\'re looking for an experienced Strategy Manager to join ManyPets on a fixed-term basis. You\'ll play a key role in shaping our strategic direction, driving high-impact initiatives, and delivering clear, actionable insights that support business growth and long-term planning. Reporting to the Head of FP&A and Strategy, this is a hands-on, high-visibility role at the heart of our strategy and performance cycle. You\'ll lead strategic planning efforts, coordinate key initiatives across the business, and partner with senior stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and support decision-making at the highest level. The scope includes cross-functional strategic projects, investor- and board-facing responsibilities, and continuous strategic alignment across functions. You\'ll join a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment where strategy is central to everything we do and plays a key role in unlocking our next stage of growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and evolution of the long-term strategic and financial plan aligning strategic choices with valuation maximization
  • Manage Board materials and investor presentations, ensuring clear, concise messaging and data-driven storytelling
  • Act as internal lead for critical strategic initiatives ensuring alignment across different functions
  • Lead valuation modelling, scenario planning, and business case development in support of investment decisions and capital allocation
  • Direct the work of the Strategy Associate in the team, overseeing business plan modelling, assigning priorities and reviewing outputs to ensure strategic and analytical rigor
  • Support departmental leaders in aligning operational plans to the broader company strategy
  • Conduct competitor and market research to inform marketing and product strategy
  • Deliver ad-hoc strategic analysis to support Senior Leadership Team and Board decision-making
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm, corporate strategy function, or a high-growth scale-up, ideally within financial services or insurance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and board members
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities to interpret complex market, competitor, and industry data, and extract strategic insights
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results on time and within scope
  • Current understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and insurance market processes, with the ability to translate this knowledge into strategic recommendations
  • Solid grasp of financial structures, including capital markets, valuation drivers, and financial modelling
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities, with a pragmatic and structured approach to creating strategies that mitigate risk and maximize impact
  • Highly proactive and self-directed, with strong leadership presence and a collaborative mindset
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Salary range: £80,000 - £90,000 GBP

Ways of working

On a typical day you\'ll be working from a laptop with a screen, mouse, keyboard, and headset. You\'ll be meeting your colleagues on Zoom and keeping in touch regularly via email and Slack too - we\'d expect you to be using your computer for around seven hours a day. We\'d ask that you have a distraction-free work area and a reliable internet connection with a speed of 25Mbps so you can work effectively. We\'ll make sure you have the right home set-up that supports you in the role by providing best-in-class technology, money towards a desk, and vision support.
