Job summary

Centrica is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join the Centrica Home Strategy team in Reading. You will translate long-term strategy into high-impact initiatives, lead strategic reviews, and drive growth across energy, services and HEM markets.

Based in our Reading/Paddington/Windsor offices, this 12-month fixed-term contract offers exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional collaboration to shape Centrica's future.

Qualifications

• Management consulting in a top-tier firm or in a corporate strategy role (3-5 years minimum)
• Experience in Energy and Services consumer markets is a plus, but not required
• Strong financial modelling and business case development skills
• Proven exec-level written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting quickly to overcome challenges

Responsibilities

• Translate the Centrica Home long-term strategy into strategic initiatives to deliver transformational growth
• Identify disruptive trends early and develop strategies to capitalise on opportunities while mitigating threats
• Lead input to Quarterly Strategic Reviews and present strategic concepts to senior leadership
• Collaborate with CH and Group leadership to align long-term vision with group priorities
• Develop Centrica Home investment papers with project teams
• Develop deep expertise in retail markets, regulation, and emerging technologies
• Support merger, acquisition, and partnership evaluations with Group M&A and Partnerships teams
• Establish measurement frameworks to track impact of strategic initiatives on performance
• Build and mentor a high-performing strategy team and foster analytical rigor and collaboration
