Job summary

Marex Group plc, a Nasdaq-listed global financial services platform, is seeking a Strategy and Finance Director to support the Head of Clearing in running a sustainable, scalable business.

You will develop MI, monitor performance, challenge financial reporting, drive organic and inorganic growth, and collaborate with group functions to prioritise initiatives. This role requires delivering regulatory compliance under FCA and achieving commercial excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis and accounting.
• Strong commercial and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Group Head of Clearing to drive vision and strategy.
• Identify and support execution of organic growth opportunities.
• Work closely with Group Strategy on screening and execution of potential inorganic growth opportunities.
• Develop and evolve annual budgets and 3-year plans for each department within clearing with input from key stakeholders and support the business to reach its revenue and profit targets
• Design, implement and deliver monthly, daily, weekly financial and operational management information to effectively monitor and steer the business, designing KPIs to help ensure the business remains on track with its long-term targets
• Refine client data reporting to support commercial teams with cross selling initiatives, improving client profitability, as well as targeting and onboarding new clients where needed
• Responsible for ensuring cost discipline across the business, reviewing and managing direct and allocated costs on a regular basis, identifying actions to manage costs on a sustainable basis
• Facilitate direction of Support and Control resources in accordance with business priorities
• Develop strong relationships across the businesses and support areas to improve the interaction between Clearing and other parts of the Group
• Work closely with Group functions, including finance, treasury, IT and operations to ensure appropriate support for the business and the interests of Clearing business are appropriately prioritised
• Represent the business to senior internal and external stakeholder to ensure transparent communication and effective representation
• Be a role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values
• Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the FCA
• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

• To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
• To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
