About Our Client

Job Description
  1. Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Consumer sector.
  2. Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  3. Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  4. Identify and implement changes to improve efficiency and performance.
  5. Contribute to team meetings and projects in the Consultancy, Strategy & Change department.
  6. Lead teams and ensure delivery of high-quality services.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends and competitive landscape.
  8. Develop relationships with new and existing clients to expand business opportunities.
  9. Take a leadership role within the team, maintaining a high-quality, credible reputation with clients and in the broader market. Experience in M&A projects such as Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, Value Creation is critical.
  10. Design and manage mid-sized to large projects or very large, complex workstreams.
  11. Act as the primary client liaison and represent the firm professionally.
  12. Produce client-ready deliverables that exceed expectations with minimal review.
  13. Develop solutions to complex problems, challenging senior colleagues and clients.
  14. Guide junior staff in executing detailed financial/business models, including complex scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  15. Identify and pursue go-to-market and marketing opportunities, taking responsibility for client engagement.
  16. Maintain active contact with mid-level clients outside of projects.
  17. Drive thought leadership and knowledge management activities.
  18. Ensure adherence to the firm's risk management frameworks.
  19. Seek leadership opportunities, manage internal processes, and inspire junior team members.
  20. Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  21. Lead practice development initiatives for successful delivery.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategy Consultant will have:

  1. Excellent experience in commercial due diligence.
  2. A strong academic background in a related field.
  3. Proficiency in strategic planning and performance analysis.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  7. Knowledge of the Consumer sector within Professional Services.
  8. Extensive experience in a leading strategy consulting firm, Big 4, or industry strategy/corporate development team.
  9. Understanding of key value drivers in the Consumer sector (Consumer Goods, Retail, Travel & Leisure) and future outlook.
  10. Experience leading mid-sized and large projects, including designing work plans, managing teams, and delivering excellent client output and project economics. Recent M&A transactions experience (e.g., CDD, VDD, M&A Strategy, Value Creation) in the Consumer sector is essential.
  11. Proven ability to design proposals, scopes, and pricing for consulting assignments.
  12. Proactive in business development, including creating client pitches and generating insights.
  13. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  14. Strong track record of mentoring junior staff.
  15. Experience in non-client-facing roles that support practice growth, such as team management, training, or technical tool development.
