Salary: £36,589 to £50,146 per annum

Location: London, Greater London House with flexibility to work from home and other office locations as required

Hours: 36 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Are you a policy and/or strategy professional with a keen interest in housing and research? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for a Strategy and Policy Adviser to join our Strategy, Policy, Evidence and Research team.

Working closely with the Research Advisers and the other Strategy and Policy Adviser, you’ll provide a range of evidence to support the development of evidence-based policy and strategy. Part of your role will involve working across the business to build capability and understanding. You’ll monitor the external environment for changes in legislation and national and local policy, assessing external and internal trends so that we can effectively respond to our changing environment.

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Working with the wider team, assess, review and report on external and internal trends that are strategically significant for Clarion
  • Develop impact evaluation for policy to be used as part of the policy review process to provide quality assurance
  • Implement, manage and evaluate the policy framework; ensuring policies comply with the agreed process, are accessible to colleagues and add value to the business
  • Draft evidence based responses to formal consultations or exercises such as select committees
  • Regularly scan environment for factors that may affect the business, our customers and stakeholders, such as changes to policy, emergent ideas from think tanks and other sources.
  • Deliver business strategy advice based on an understanding the external operating environment, including government and other relevant stakeholders.

In this key role for the Group, you’ll liaise closely with colleagues at all levels across the business.

You’ll have experience of strategy and/or policy in a similarly complex organisation. You’ll need to be with a team player with good research skills and proven experience of analysing key strategic trends to support business decisions. You’ll come with excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
