As the Strategy and Corporate Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Rightmove's strategic direction and pursuing new areas of growth. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Development, Chief Strategy Officer and senior leaders from various functions, you will lead the execution of our most important strategic efforts (including complex strategic projects, strategy planning, M&A, partnerships, and investments).

What you'll be doing

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence senior business decisions and contribute directly to our strategic direction:

  • Strategic projects:
    Lead the end-to-end delivery of the most important strategic projects from problem framing
    through to recommendation
  • M&A and partnerships: Support analysis and execution of all M&A, partnership, and investment opportunities across the business (incl. strategic fit, commercial due diligence, valuation, transaction
    and integration)
  • Strategy planning:
    Contribute to the development and refinement of the company's long-term strategic plan and annual strategic roadmap
  • Senior stakeholder engagement: Conduct analysis and prepare materials for the Executive Team and Board to support investment proposals, strategic projects and strategic planning
  • External engagement:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, industry experts, and the venture community to
    stay informed about market trends and potential opportunities
  • Strategic recommendations and insights:
    Conduct research and market analysis on industry trends, competitive landscapes and emerging technologies

What you'll have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate strategy
  • Proven ability to deliver insightful recommendations and undertake sound strategic analysis using hypothesis-based problem solving
  • Excellent analytical capability with the ability to frame and solve problems and undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis (including data analysis and financial modelling)
  • Strong communicator with executive presence and interpersonal skills to credibly engage with a variety of senior stakeholders
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Capable of both working in a team and independently
  • Technology experience desirable but not a prerequisite
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions in a corporate or professional services setting desirable but not a prerequisite
