The role focuses on building analytics frameworks to support critical decision-making in workforce planning, requiring strong data science expertise and leadership skills.
JOB TITLE: Strategic Workforce Analytics Manager
SALARY: £65,385 - £72,650
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol & Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
We're looking for a Strategic Workforce Analytics Manager to join our high-impact Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) team. Our mission is to ensure the organisation has the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time. We do this by combining deep workforce insight with pioneering analytics to inform long-term planning and strategic decision-making.

We work across the People & Places function and the wider business to deliver meaningful, data-driven insights that support our strategic goals. Our work is varied, impactful, and constantly evolving-no two days are the same.
As a manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the development of our analytics strategy and building future-focused data models that help us understand and plan for evolving workforce needs. You'll also be a visible advocate for Strategic Workforce Planning across the organisation-coaching and supporting team members, fostering collaboration, and championing the value of data-led workforce decisions.
Lead the design and delivery of our Strategic Workforce Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with broader SWP and organisational goals.
Build and enhance data-driven models to support 5-year Strategic Workforce planning, with a focus on future skills and location strategy.
Develop and automate analytics and visualisations that inform strategic workforce decisions.
Design and test scenario models to evaluate workforce interventions and future capability needs.
Partner with colleagues across the business to source, cleanse, and analyse workforce data.
Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to shape recruitment, reskilling, and talent strategies.
Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and encouraging a culture of continuous learning.
Promote agile ways of working and lead delivery of analytics initiatives in an iterative, value-driven manner.
Stay ahead of external trends in workforce analytics, AI, and talent market insights.
