Job summary

Cisco UK Security Office seeks a Vetting Manager to lead the vetting and background-checking function, ensuring compliance with UK standards and handling sensitive information with discretion. The role requires SC clearance and suitability for DV, with extensive vetting experience across the public sector.

You will oversee end-to-end processes, coordinate with HR, Legal and IT, and drive training to strengthen the organisation's vetting posture and IPSA activities.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and hold UK Security Clearance (SC minimum, suitable for DV).
• Minimum of 5 years of work in a security vetting role.
• Minimum of 5 years working with the UK Public Sector or government-aligned entities.
• Knowledge of UK government vetting procedures (BPSS, CTC, SC, DV) and related legal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end vetting, including briefings, reviewing applications, and clearance requests for all staff and partners.
• Support business transformation activities and act as IPSA point of contact, deputising for Security Controller where needed.
• Liaise between HR, Legal, IT to ensure understanding and compliance with vetting procedures.
• Organise training sessions on vetting requirements for HR teams and hiring managers.
