Job summary

CNA Hardy is seeking an experienced Underwriting Audit Manager in London to lead the underwriting audit function and drive governance, controls, and regulatory compliance across the business.

You will manage the audit team, engage with senior stakeholders, and deliver clear audit outputs with regular reporting to committees and leadership teams. Knowledge of Lloyd’s market is advantageous and leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing audit or underwriting teams.
• Strong governance frameworks, controls and regulatory compliance within a regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of underwriting systems and rulebooks.
• Good understanding of the insurance market; Lloyd’s market experience beneficial.
• Proven experience with underwriting audit, compliance, or technical insurance disciplines.
• Strong stakeholder management, with ability to influence at senior levels.
• Analytical thinker able to identify risks and deliver practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the underwriting audit plan with a robust control environment.
• Manage, develop and oversee the underwriting audit team; ensure performance and delivery.
• Embed and monitor governance frameworks; ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
• Build and manage relationships with Underwriting Heads and senior stakeholders.
• Deliver audit outputs, track actions, and report to committees and leadership.
