Job summary
Debenhams Group in Manchester is seeking a commercially sharp Trading Manager to join the brand team. You will work closely with the Commercial Director to drive sales, profitability and performance across Marketplace, Fashion Brands, Beauty and Premium Brands, while supporting growth in Outlet and International markets.
You will own daily trading performance, promotional planning and major retail events, translating data into actionable steps and aligning activities with business priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience in ecommerce trading or commercial roles within fast-paced retail.
- Proven track record of driving sales, conversion, revenue and profitability.
- Strong analytical skills with data-led decision making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver trading strategy across marketplaces and brands.
- Monitor daily/weekly performance and identify opportunities and risks.
- Turn data into actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
- Coordinate cross-functional activity with Trading, Buying, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing and CRM.
- Lead promotional planning and peak trading events.
- Provide clear trading updates to senior leadership.
