Job summary

ICE Recruit in London is seeking a Technical Director, Civil Engineering to lead a portfolio of major infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical guidance.

You will shape technical standards, support bids, mentor leaders and drive innovation while liaising with clients and senior stakeholders. A Chartered Civil Engineer with extensive senior leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience in senior technical and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and CDM requirements.
• Experience in energy or defence sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across multidisciplinary civil projects.
• Advise clients and senior stakeholders on technical direction.
• Drive technical excellence, innovation and best practice.
• Support bids, business development and client relationships.
• Mentor future leaders and develop engineering capability.
• Travel UK-wide to sites and offices as required.
