Job summary

ICE Recruit is seeking a Technical Director, Civil Engineering for a London-based, hybrid role leading senior technical and leadership initiatives on major infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.

You will shape technical standards, mentor leaders, support bids, and drive innovation while managing stakeholder relationships across sectors such as energy, defence and water.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer with degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in senior technical and leadership roles.
• Strong expertise across drainage, utilities, pavements, earthworks, access and construction logistics; knowledge of design standards and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across multidisciplinary civil projects.
• Advise clients and senior stakeholders on technical direction.
• Drive technical excellence, innovation and best practice.
• Support bids and business development activities.
• Mentor future leaders and develop engineering capability.
• UK-wide travel with hybrid office/project attendance.
