Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing business to appoint a Supply Chain/Procurement Manager. This is a strategic leadership role, giving the successful applicant the chance to lead and develop the procurement and supply chain function.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ recent experience in a senior Supply Chain, Procurement or Purchasing leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
• Proven success in developing procurement strategies and delivering cost savings.
• Strong background in supplier relationship management and commercial negotiations.
• Experience leading procurement teams and driving high performance.
• Experience implementing ERP / MRP / WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the procurement and supply chain function, ensuring competitive sourcing while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Lead supplier negotiations for favorable pricing and long-term partnerships.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract management.
• Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in cost and quality.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing and inventory planning to ensure supply continuity.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Finance and Logistics to forecast demand.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement legislation.
• Mentor and develop the procurement team to sustain high performance.
