Job summary

BG Automotive, the aftermarket division of the British Gaskets Group, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for the Swindon head office. You will use historical sales data to calculate stock levels and maintain stock availability across UK, European and Far East suppliers.

The role involves stock control, order processing, replenishment and forecasting, with strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset; you will work with cross-functional teams to optimize stock holding and improve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Previous Demand Planner/Supply planner experience.
• Stock control.
• Confident Excel user.
• Experience in managing end of life cycle and obsolete inventory.
• Experience of managing a large depth of SKU's (3000+)

Responsibilities

• Monitoring stock levels.
• Placing orders with suppliers, managing time frames and KPIs.
• Forecasting stock requirements in line with the company budget.
• Effective communication with internal teams and suppliers.
• Identifying and resolving supply chain issues efficiently.
• Monitoring stock performance and product availability.
• Support the implementation of processes and procedures to optimize stock holding.
• Making recommendations and adjusting inventory controls to adapt to latest trends.
• Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth flow of information and resources.
• Any additional supply chain functionality to support team members or department requirements.
