Job summary

SSE plc in the UK seeks a Supply Chain Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to develop and implement procurement and supply chain solutions across Transmission projects. You will report to the Procurement and Commercial Manager and lead supplier engagement, KPI reporting and tendering activities for consultancy and support contracts.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying degree / CIPS or equivalent, experience in managing frameworks, NEC contracts and procurement processes.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent / CIPS
Experience in managing supply chain activities
Experience of managing frameworks or contracts on significant projects
Experience with procurement process including strategy development and implementation
Experience with NEC forms of contract, including drafting and administration

Responsibilities

Take ownership of specific subject area and be direct contact for Transmission customers ensuring supply chain intel is owned, developed and provided.
Lead interface between Transmission and Group Category Management to communicate demand and consolidate supply chain intelligence.
Ensure Transmission procurement strategies are incorporated within group-wide category plans and support procurement events.
Undertake full range of tendering activities for Transmission-specific events, including tender docs, process management, commercial analysis and contract terms.
Oversight of supplier engagement and KPI data production for supplier performance assessment
