Job summary

Addition is seeking a Supply Chain Bid Specialist to shape and manage supplier strategy across bids and opportunities. You will engage suppliers, build relationships and ensure the supply base supports current delivery and future growth in a competitive, regulated environment.

The role requires experience in bids or proposals within defence or regulated sectors, strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, and a proactive, commercially focused approach in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting bids in Defence, engineering or regulated environments.
• Strong track record building and managing supplier relationships.
• Demonstrable negotiation experience focused on delivering commercial value.
• Good knowledge of procurement principles.
• Strong understanding of contract law.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence effectively across multiple teams.
• Strong organisational skills with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support bids and supply chain strategy by building and maintaining supplier networks.
• Shape supply chain strategies across opportunities with BD and bid teams.
• Identify, engage and down-select suppliers based on value and innovation.
• Act as central point of contact for supplier engagement during bids.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Support the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose contracts.
• Contribute to bid planning, reporting and governance.
• Ensure bid timelines and supplier actions are managed.
• Negotiate with suppliers for strong commercial outcomes.
• Promote social value and responsible sourcing.
• Support future growth through aligned supplier capability.
