Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to join our team in Scotland, with hybrid options in Edinburgh or Glasgow. You will lead communications, engagement, and consultation for major infrastructure projects, coordinating stakeholders and developing strategies across diverse audiences.

You will contribute to business development, nurture client relationships, and mentor junior colleagues while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering communications, engagement and consultation on infrastructure projects.
• Track record in business development, spotting opportunities and turning them into commercially viable ventures.
• Experience managing teams of different sizes and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Strong ability to engage diverse audiences including communities, regulatory bodies and clients.
• Proactive and ambitious with strong communication, inclusion and accessibility focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications strategies and delivery plans for projects and audiences.
• Identify key stakeholders and establish engagement strategy and delivery plans.
• Support consultation delivery, develop surveys, manage feedback channels and analyse responses.
• Build and maintain client relations with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high service levels.
• Drive business development, identify opportunities and contribute to proposals and tender responses.
• Manage projects, teams and budgets, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and mentorship.
