Babcock is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to shape procurement strategy across a large defence and engineering organisation. Based in the UK with hybrid working, you will influence sourcing decisions and lead supplier partnerships to deliver commercial value.
Day-to-day, you will develop sourcing plans, manage supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and report to senior stakeholders. This is a fixed-term, full-time role, requiring SC clearance eligibility.

This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic procurement decisions across a large and complex organisation. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, delivering commercial value, and strengthening supplier partnerships that support both current operations and future growth.
Working across the Land Sector, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities, improve supply chain performance, and contribute to major contract opportunities. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on procurement delivery, giving you the chance to make a real impact while developing your career within a leading international organisation.

This role is based at Donnington, Portsmouth or Andover, with hybrid working available and an expectation of 1 to 2 days per week on site, depending on business requirements. The role is a fixed term contract for 12 months, working full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
CIPS or MCIPS qualification, or working towards certification, would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
