Qualifications

• Minimum 3 ans d'expérience en approvisionnement ou gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.
• Qualifications CIPS au niveau 4 requis, formation possible.
• Compétences techniques en logiciels ERP et en gestion des contrats souhaitées.

About the role

This is a full-time role based at our manufacturing facility in Ipswich, Suffolk, however there is a requirement to travel to fulfil the role.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collect, analyse, and manage procurement data to support strategic sourcing decisions;
• Conduct market research to identify and present industry trends and cost-saving opportunities;
• Develop existing and new suppliers through cost baselines to evaluate supplier pricing and contract effectiveness;
• Build RFQ item lists for competitive supplier selection;
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define evaluation criteria for supplier assessments;
• Propose solutions not currently utilised but readily available;
• Ensure all supplier transactions are covered by the company’s NDA protocol and the contractual terms and conditions;
• Score potential suppliers based on predefined evaluation categories;
• Select vendors that align with business objectives and procurement strategies;
• Negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy of favorable terms, cost savings, and risk mitigation;
• Continuously contribute to improve processes related to strategic sourcing projects;
• Participate in internal and external meetings to provide accurate project progress and transparency.

About You

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, we would ask you bring the following skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; or related years of experience considered in lieu of degree;
• Three or more years of proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management required, preferably within the manufacturing industry;
• CIPS qualified to at least Level 4 – training will be provided if required;
• Software Knowledge - Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system experience required (SAP preferred), and procurement software;
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency in market research, cost analysis, and supplier evaluation;
• Familiarity with contract management principles and legal aspects of procurement.
