Job summary

Babcock International is seeking an experienced procurement professional in the UK to develop sourcing and supply chain strategies that support new business opportunities and bids.

You will lead supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, and contract execution while building strong supplier relationships to drive performance, value, and risk management. The role collaborates with procurement, commercial, engineering, and project teams in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Degree in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive performance, value, and risk management.
• Conducting supplier due diligence and ensuring compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with procurement, commercial, engineering, and project teams to deliver effective supply chain solutions.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with office attendance required as business needs.

Experience Required

• Experience working within procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies across a range of goods and services.
• Experience managing end-to-end procurement activities, including tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvements.
• Experience working with a variety of stakeholders to achieve commercial and operational objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent experience within procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
