We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager to join our team in Sussex, WI. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with our organizational goals. You will collaborate with various departments to optimize our procurement processes, ensuring that we achieve the best value for our investments while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, train, coach and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to drive cost savings and efficiency.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Implement best practices in procurement processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics to inform sourcing decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree .
- Professional certification (CPSM, CPM, APICS/ASCM) .
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 5+ years of leading people.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
