Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to reinforce value delivery across the Capital Programme spend. You will lead category strategies, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and work with Commercial colleagues to secure procurement outcomes that align with programme objectives.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, governance with procurement regulations, and the ability to deliver cost efficiency and supplier innovation across in-scope areas.

Qualifications

• Strategic sourcing experience across capital programmes.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Engaging with internal stakeholders and the supply chain.
• Track record delivering against stretching targets.
• Proven ability to manage external relationships and negotiate with suppliers.
• Experience in leading supply chain project delivery.
• Track record of delivering procurement value for money and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development for specific projects in line with category strategies.
• Prioritise and manage multiple sourcing initiatives with agile delivery.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team through procurement with stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain audit trails, data protection compliance and secure supplier information exchanges.
• Collaborate on contract launch and handover to Contract Management.
